HOW IT WORKS:

Families, hotels guests and churches use our babysitting service for daytime sits, evenings out, overnights, weekends, school closings and sick childcare. A 24-hour notice is preferred, but not required. The sitter charges on an hourly basis (see rates below) and the agency charges a nominal monthly fee (see below) for arranging the services,conducting background checks and providing an abundant database of sitters available in your area!

IN-HOME BABYSITTING RATES AND AGENCY FEES:

There is an annual registration fee to become a member of our babysitting service. Our annual fee is $99.00.


Three hour minimum required on all sits.

Note: All of our sitters are independent contractors of our agency and are to be paid directly by the client. Their rates are set according to the number of children they are caring for and length of time they are sitting. The below rates are for in-home childcare only. Hotel sits, group care and church nursery rates are listed below. All sitters are paid time and a half rates for all hours worked past midnight and for all sits falling on major holidays, including Valentines Day.

IN-HOME "AVERAGE" HOURLY BABYSITTING RATES:

• 1 child —      $10.00 - $12.00 / hr. 
• 2 children — $10.00 - $12.00 / hr.
• 3 children — $12.00 - $13.00 / hr.
• 4 children — $12.00 - $13.00 / hr.

* Please note that the above quotes are "average" or "suggested" hourly rates. Hourly rates may vary with each individual caregiver, depending on his/her level of education, number of years of childcare experience and estimated travel time. Please remember that all of our sitters are independent contractors and are not employees of Carolina's Preferred Sitters.

 AGENCY FEES:

There is a low, monthly membership fee to access our baby-sitting service. The monthly fee is only $19.99!

Your Monthly Membership Includes:

* 24/7 access to our entire database of screened, professional baby- sitters in your area.

* Complimentary booking service ( You may call to book the sitter yourself or we will gladly book her for you)

* Updated, current sitter lists. We update our sitter lists quarterly, so you will always have current information on our sitters and their availability. You will know when your sitter is available and the fastest way to connect with her! 

* All clients receive our back up guarantee. If your sitter gets sick, has an emergency or simply cannot make it, contact our office. We will have a back -up sitter for you!

HOTEL BABYSITTING AND AGENCY FEES:

All of our hotel sitters are independent contractors of our agency and are to be paid directly by the client. Their rates are set according to the number of children they are caring for and the length of time they are sitting. Other expenses, such as hotel parking for the sitter, will be charged to the client directly by the sitter, unless pre-paid by the client or charged to the client’s room. If the client requests the sitter to take the children to activities involving a cost, the client should provide the appropriate funds to the sitter prior to the activity. The sitter gives a full accounting report of how the money was spent and would return any unused funds to the client. Sitters using their personal car for transporting the client's children will reimbursed by the client directly at the current rate of 36 cents per mile.

HOTEL BABYSITTING RATES:

• 1 child - $12.00 per hour
• 2 children - $13.00. per hour
• 3 children - $14.00 per hour
• More than 3 children - Additional caregivers will be required!

CPS will be glad to discuss details about each sit with the individual hotel guest. Factors such as ages of the children that will need care will affect the number of caregivers our agency will need to provide.

There is a per day or per evening agency fee paid directly to Carolina's Preferred Sitters for all hotel sits. Payments for hotel sitting services must be made by credit card. We gladly accept American Express, VISA, Master Card and Discover Card. Your bill will reflect payment to Carolina's Preferred Sitters.

AGENCY FEES:

• Daytime Hotel Sits (before 5pm) - $25.00
• Evening Hotel Sits (after 5pm) - $20.00

Our Cancellation Policy: Once your sitting request has been filled and you have agreed to utilize the services of a CPS Sitter, there will be a $15 cancellation charge and it will be charged to your credit card. Payment to the sitter is NOT due if you cancel the sit.

GROUP CHILDCARE / CHURCH NURSERY CARE AND AGENCY FEES:

Carolina's Preferred Sitters will provide professional babysitters for group care such and special events as weddings, conventions,  meetings and church nurseries.

All of our sitters are independent contractors of our agency and are to be paid directly by the client. Their rates are set according to the number of children they are caring for and length of time they are sitting.

Our group childcare ratio is 4 children to 1 caregiver. Our sitter ratio for infants and toddlers is 3 children to 1 caregiver.

GROUP CHILDCARE / CHURCH NURSERY CAREGIVER RATES:

* Rates start at $12.00 an hour, with a three hour minimum. Please call or email us  to discuss your individual situation. *

More than 3 children - Additional Caregivers will be required!

There is a per sitter referral fee paid directly to Carolina's Preferred Sitters for all group childcare or special event sits. Payment for special event or group sitting services must be made by credit card. We gladly accept VISA and  Master Card. Your bill will reflect payment to Carolina's Preferred Sitters.

 AGENCY FEES FOR GROUP CHILDCARE:

$3.50 per sitter per hour is the agency fee due to CPS for group childcare.

Sorry, but use of swimming pools is strictly prohibited to all CPS sitters during special event and group childcare sits. Sitters may not take children off the premises during an event unless a release has been previously signed by the parents.
