WHAT WILL A NANNY DO FOR MY FAMILY?

Your nanny's main responsibility is the development, nurturing and safety of your child (ren). Most nannies will not provide housekeeping for the family, but should be expected to clean up after themselves and the child(ren) in their care.

YOUR NANNY WILL ADDITONALLY:

Plan and provide age-appropriate activities.
Accompany your children on outings to places such as the library or the park.
Supervise play dates and participate in playgroups with your children's friends.
Transport children to school, activities and appointments if needed.
Plan and prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children.
Keep the children’s playroom, bedroom and eating areas neat and safe.
Wash, fold and put away the children's laundry.

You may ask your nanny to perform additional household duties as long as the family and nanny agree upon what the responsibilities will be. The additional responsibilities should reflect in the nanny's weekly salary. We ask families to please keep the nanny’s household duties reasonable so that they do not interfere with the level of attention and the quality of care your child is entitled to receive from your nanny.

WHY SHOULD I HAVE CPS FIND A NANNY FOR MY FAMILY INSTEAD OF DOING IT MYSELF?

Carolina's Preferred Sitters has an extremely large pool of qualified applicants. CPS will save parents the time of placing ads, answering ad responses and checking references. In this day and age, it is critical that a thorough reference and background check is completed on each applicant. CPS performs background investigations because we understand that parents may not have the resources available to preform this task. Also, do not forget our guarantees! After a match has been made, if the family or the nanny feels that the relationship is not working out, CPS will replace the nanny free of charge, within the first year. Additionally, as a benefit of hiring one of our nannies, Carolina’s Preferred Sitters will offer FREE emergency back up if your nanny is unable to make it to work for any reason!

HOW MUCH WILL A NANNY COST?

Your nanny's salary will be based on her previous childcare experience, her level of education & your family's specific requirements (i.e. the number of children in the family, the level of housework expected, etc.)

The average salary for a FT nanny in the Charlotte NC area averages around $400 - $650 per week. The average salary for a PT nanny in the Charlotte NC area averages $10 - $16 per hour. Please remember each individual situation is different and these are only average or suggested salaries.

Some nannies may want to bring their own child with them. It will always be your choice whether you will employ a nanny who will need to bring her own child along. Generally, a nanny that brings her own child with her will accept a smaller weekly salary than a nanny who does not bring a child along.

Nanny "finder's fees" or "placement fees" differ from one agency to the next. Carolina's Preferred Sitters prides itself on being reasonably priced without compromising quality. Here is how we compare:

* We provide referral FREE backup care if your nanny is absent, for whatever reason.

* ADDITIONALLY, we have discounted PT nanny agency fees. This allows you to pay a discounted fee, if you only need a part time nanny!

* If you are interested in sharing a nanny; two, three or even four families may split one placement fee, as long as one nanny works for all parties. This way, each family will be responsible for only paying one half, one third or even one fourth of our placement fee!

* We also offer a ONE-YEAR GUARANTEE on all full time and part time nanny placements. Other agencies guarantees last around 60-90 days and they will charge you additional fees if they need to replace your nanny past this time period. CPS does not; we stand behind our nannies for one year or the entire length of their contract with you!

OUR NANNY PLACEMENT & SCREENING PROCESS INCLUDES:

1.) A mimimum of six nanny candidates to interview from our agency ( FT nanny placement only )

2.) A criminal background check conducted in the state the candidate currently lives in and any state(s) they have previously resided in. ( In NC, this includes felonies, misdemeanors, infractions and traffic violations )

3.) Sexual offenders check

4.) Childcare references from previous employers

5.) One year guarantee on all full time and part time nanny placements.

6.) Free back-up care, if you nanny is absent for any reason!

Below are agency fees only. Nanny salaries will vary and are negotiated between family and nanny. All of the fees below include referral FREE backup care if your nanny is absent, for whatever reason and a ONE-YEAR GUARANTEE on all full time and part time placements!

* REGISTRATION FEE - $195.00 One Time Registration Fee. This Fee Is Good For A Lifetime!

* PART TIME Nanny Placement ( 5 - 14 Hours Per Week ) - $795.00

* PART TIME Nanny Placement ( 15 - 29 Hours Per Week ) - $895.00

* FULL TIME OR SHARED Nanny Placement ( 30 Plus Hours Per Week ) - $995.00

* LIVE IN Nanny Placement - $1,395.00

* SUMMER Nanny Placement - $395.00

* TEMP. Or MONTH TO MONTH Nanny Placement - $145.00 Per Month

* OR: You may choose to use our "PAY MANAGER" option

With our " PAY MANAGER " option you may choose to hire a FT or PT nanny, without a ONE TIME, UPFRONT PLACEMENT FEE! This plan allows you to pay one, low monthly agency fee for the first year of your nanny's employment!

With " PAY MANAGER" the fees are as follows:

* Lifetime Registration Fee - $195.00

* Monthly Payment - $95.00

ONE TIME Placement Fee:

Lifetime Registration Fee: $199.00

FT or PT Nanny Placement Fee: $999.00

Live In PLacement Fee: $1,499.00

Temporary Nanny: $499.00
